Alpine plants need a deep bed which means a lot of weight. This super-strong staging will support up to 160 kg allowing the special 7ins deep top section to be filled with grit, sharp sand and compost.
What's Included
Alpine plants are currently enjoying renewed popularity. Though, they are difficult to grow in certain climates as they don’t like standing in cold, wet soil they can be very rewarding. Our 2ft x 4ft alpine staging is designed to provide alpine plants with their ideal growing environment.
As alpine plants need a deep bed, the special top tier has a depth of 7 inches. With all that extra soil, it’s capable of supporting up to 160kg.
As with our free-standing staging, for added storage space our alpine staging features a second tier. The wooden slats have been pressure impregnated with a clear preservative to maximise their lifespan, lasting years without rotting.
To help support the extra weight, this staging is manufactured using the same high quality, durable aluminum we use for our greenhouses. Don’t forget to add the finishing touches by color matching to your greenhouse.
Please note: Some elements of this staging are stainless steel so may contain light scratching. This is due to the manufacturing process and does not impact the items horticultural use.
