Meet the Makers

Reviews

A Rhino greenhouse is the perfect environment for your plants. We care about quality which is why this beautiful, strong, safe greenhouse is built to last.

We design and manufacture the Rhino in our own UK factory.

Louvre Vents & Automatic Roof Ventilation

Included as standard with the Rhino Premium 6x6 greenhouse:

  • 2 Single Roof Vents
  • 2 Side Louvre Vents
  • 2 Automatic Roof Vent Openers
  • Storm Locks

Did you know that our Rhinos are the most ventilated greenhouses available on the market?

By using a combination of single, double and triple roof vents we make sure that the maximum area is covered, providing as much roof ventilation as possible. Each roof vent is controlled by a solar-powered automatic vent opener, helping to ensure the vents open and close automatically when required.

To help protect against extreme weather, vents on our Rhino Premiums are also fitted with storm locks, allowing vents to be secured down. This is ideal when you live in the UK and bad weather is expected! These storm locks allow the entire structure to be made airtight.

Note that it is important to disengage the vents before putting the storm locks into position, to avoid causing any damage to the openers.

The high quality Rhino five-blade louvre vents allow you to take complete control of your ventilation, allowing cool air to enter from the side, circulate up through the greenhouse forcing air to escape through the roof vents. Optimal circulation can only be achieved through a combination of roof vents and side louvres.

All our ventilation is included in the price so you know exactly what you're getting. No required add-ons.

We've produced a handy guide explaining why ventilation is so important and how to optimize your greenhouse temperature.

4mm Toughened Glass - strong and safe

Keep yourself and your family safe with Rhino's combination glazing system: Toughened Safety Glass and Rubber Glazing Beads. Perfect for exposed locations and families with young children and pets.

Rhino Tuff 4mm toughened safety glass is 33% thicker than most greenhouse glass and comes as standard with every Rhino greenhouse.

Each pane is designed with safety in mind and if broken, the glass will shatter into lots of tiny pieces rather than big shards that are far more likely to cause injury. This Grade A glass helps you achieve the maximum clarity for the best growing conditions. Oh and even the edges of the glass are rounded so that you don’t cut yourself during installation.

With our unique Rhino glazing system, each pane of glass becomes integral to the strength of the whole frame. This system locks each pane of glass in place along its entire length, using long rubber beads. This means the glass can't be blown or sucked out of the frame, ideal for high winds and other extreme weather conditions. The Premium range also features box-section glazing bead for even greater stability.

When compared with the glazing that comes as standard on most greenhouses, the Rhino ranges come up trumps every time. No dangerous horticultural glass or flimsy W-clips here; and with the smooth finish achieved by our glazing beads, there's no need for bar capping either.

Strong Frame - great wind resistance

Every single Rhino is engineered for strength and stability, making it perfectly adapted for extreme weather and exposed locations. Many of our customers choose a Rhino specifically for this reason. So far we've heard that they've withstood storms and strong gales up to 137mph! Whether you're in the Outer Hebrides or the Channel Islands, our Rhinos make secure growing locations, no matter the weather.

Did you know that each Rhino frame has around 60% more aluminum than similarly priced models? But it’s not just the weight, it’s the clever design of the Rhino that provides its inherent strength. There are 3 key factors that contribute the strength of the Rhino range:

  1. Strong T-section bracing
  2. An integral base
  3. The Rhino Tuff glazing system

The Rhino Premium features even stronger T-section bracing replacing the tubular bracing seen on other greenhouses; positioned at every strut of the framework of the eaves and ridge of the the greenhouse, you can be confident in the structure. The integral base and Rhino Tuff glazing system also add to the overall strength, creating a solid and airtight framework from the top of the roof to the ground.

We’ve tested the snow loading capacity of a Rhino by putting half a tonne of sand bags on the roof, so it's ready for whatever the weather may throw at it.

Integral Base – stronger and great access

Every Rhino greenhouse includes a strong, integral aluminum base in the price, which not only provides an incredibly strong foundation but also allows The Rhino to be erected simply onto firm, level soil – so there’s no need for an expensive concrete base. Once The Rhino is erected, strong stainless steel ground anchors are concreted into position.

If you'd prefer a concrete pad or paving slabs, the Rhino can also be erected on these surfaces. Stainless steel anchors are suplied and fixed using the fixings provided.

All Rhino greenhouses now include a low threshold door and ramp within the price. There’s no longer a trip hazard at the doorway and on 8, 10 and 12ft wide models there is plenty of width for a wheelchair or wheelbarrow to enter with ease.

Hanging Basket Rails

Every Rhino greenhouse comes with two hanging basket rails.

The roof is so strong that it can easily handle this extra load. I mean if we can get 4 guys to sit ontop of it, we're sure it can handle some hanging baskets. This addition will also free up lots of space on your staging providing more growing space.

Rainwater Collection

Included with every Rhino greenhouse are large integral gutters, plus downpipes and bends as you'll want to collect the natural rainwater your plants will love.

25 Year Guarantee – they're that good

Nothing says more about the quality of a Rhino greenhouse than our 25 Year Guarantee.

A generation of gardeners can rest assured that the frame and even the powder coated color finish are covered, in the unlikely event that the greenhouse fails.

Base Preparation

Our Rhino greenhouses offer great flexibility when it comes to base options. Unlike most other greenhouse brands, our Rhinos can be erected on soil. This is only due to the strength created by its sturdy base and framework. As long as it is level and fully compacted, in most situations soil is the perfect solution.

Alternatively, hardstanding bases are also suitable. As long as they're smooth and level, paving slabs, concrete bases and brick or block perimeter plinths can also be used.

This Rhino Premium greenhouse stands at 6ft 4ins wide and 6ft 3ins long with a ridge height of 7ft 7ins.
